Programmes Manager
Qhamani is an experienced development practitioner, researcher, policy analyst and registered professional planner. He has experience managing a range of community development projects and programmes related to informal settlement upgrading, urban governance, urban reform and early childhood development.
He holds a masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the Free State and is currently pursuing his PhD in Urban Planning at the University of Stellenbosch. His activism is underpinned by ideals of social justice, concepts of shared citizen power and the pursuit of an equitable society.
He often writes on the intersection between space, people and basic services, his work has been published on many of South Africa’s popular news platforms.
