Our team is comprised of smart and dedicated people who believe in our long-term vision, that it is indeed possible for all South African kids to learn to read for meaning and calculate with confidence by age 10 by 2030. These are the people we trust to lead our programs, develop our materials, and advocate for their widespread uptake by government.
Communications and Advocacy Officer
Introducing Ambeswa Mgandela, our Communications and Advocacy Officer at Funda Wande. With her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology, Geography, and Environmental and Sustainability Studies from the University of the Western Cape, Ambeswa infuses warmth and dedication into everything she does.
She's not just about academics; Ambeswa's journey is a testament to her passion for making a real difference. She completed the Communications Course for Civil Society as part of the Amplify I Mobilise I Change 2023 Cohort, a testament to her commitment to growth and learning.
Ambeswa's story with Funda Wande began as an eLearning Graduate Intern in 2022, where her energy and enthusiasm shone brightly. Over time, she's blossomed into the Communications and Advocacy space, driven by her deep-rooted belief in the power of early childhood literacy and the urgent need to address social inequality.
