Tabisa is an educator committed to shaping the future of Foundation Phase teaching. She completed her Master of Education full thesis, where she researched early grade Mathematics and contributed to strengthening understanding in the early years. She also holds a Bachelor of Honours in Bilingualism for Access and Diversity, which has enabled her to design engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young learners.
Her academic journey began with a BEd in Foundation Phase Teaching from Rhodes University, and she has gained extensive teaching experience across Grade R to Grade 3. Now focused on teacher training, her work centres on supporting educators to improve literacy and numeracy teaching practices. Her research interests include literacy and numeracy development, with a strong emphasis on language as an inclusive factor in classroom contexts.
