Khanya Mpahlwa is a multidisciplinary creative practitioner Video Editor, Videographer, Photographer, Colourist, Graphic Designer, and Music Producer with over a decade of sustained contribution to the South African creative industry. He has spent the past eight years at Funda Wande, where he works as a Video Editor and Videographer producing educational video content for the South African education sector. Over this period, Mpahlwa has played a significant role in shaping the organisation’s visual identity and overall look and feel, contributing meaningfully to the quality and coherence of the work delivered across Funda Wande’s portfolio. One of the projects he is most proud to have contributed to is Reading Academy and The Reading Panel.

Before joining Funda Wande, Khanya was instrumental in delivering creative work for a range of organisations, including collaborations with VW Qhubeka, the United Nations, the Children’s Radio Foundation, Red Bull and Red Bull Amaphiko, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, UCT GSB, the Raymond Ackerman Academy, and UNICEF, among others.

He is particularly excited by the future of AI and is intentionally developing his capabilities to align with where each industry he works in is headed especially education so that the work remains innovative, effective, and future-ready.
