Debbie is a dedicated educator and literacy expert with extensive experience in early literacy development. She lectured at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) and was involved in the Gauteng Primary Language and Mathematics Strategy (GPLMS) for a year. Prior to that, she spent many years working with READ (Read, Educate and Develop), a literacy-focused non-profit organisation.
Her passion for foundational learning is deeply rooted in research—her PhD focused specifically on early literacy development.
